The Passion for Learning Sports Festival 2024

A few weeks ago, we held a brand-new sporting event...The Passion for Learning Sports Festival. This event had been in planning for way over a year and started out as a simple idea of can we recreate the Careers Carnival but for sports. We contacted sports teams, clubs and professionals from all over the United Kingdom to help us introduce 150 Children to a variety of sports. A huge thank you to Chester FC and Chester FC Community Trust for hosting us at the King George V Sports Hub in Chester. We had a few nice surprises for the children too, when Paralympian Gold medallist Amy Truesdale and 4 Chester FC first team players all turned up to interact and talk to them about just what it takes to be a professional sportsperson. Our goal was to get all children interacting with people they don't know, whilst being more active and hopefully finding a hobby to continue afterwards. A massive thank you all involved making our first sports festival what it was.
